WanWan! is a voice-first Japanese learning app with 37 structured lessons. The app teaches through listening, speaking, and hands-free quizzes — covering greetings, daily life, food, travel, and more. It also includes handwriting recognition for kana practice, a reference library, verb conjugations, and collectible rewards.
Common Help Topics
- Microphone not working — Make sure microphone and speech recognition permissions are enabled in Settings → WanWan!
- Speech not recognized correctly — Try speaking clearly and at a normal pace. The app listens for 1-2 seconds of silence before evaluating.
- Handwriting not recognized — Draw each stroke in the correct order, following the ghost guide. Clear and try again if needed.
- Progress not saving — Progress is saved automatically. Make sure you complete each module to save your progress.
- No sound — Check that your device is not on silent mode and the volume is up.
- App crashes or freezes — Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, please email us with your device model and iOS version.
